4/21 Tough Day All Around

It finally calmed back down again and we had winds out of the SE at 10 knots.  We primarily fished out around Columbus Point and picked up a few dolphin and small tunas.  We had two solid bites from white marlin and hooked into one just to watch it jump off. With the slow fishing we deep dropped at the end of the day and caught some snapper, checked out the Oceanic Whitetip Sharks that were cruising around our boat, then headed for home. We were about 2 miles from the cut into Hawk’s Nest Marina when the Vulkan Coupler went on our starboard engine and put us down to one engine.  Thanks to all of the good people at the marina, we were able to get the OverUnder back into her slip safely.  I cleaned up the fish and showed the guys the shark rodeo, and they were in thick at the fuel dock, so here are a few pictures…
