I mated on the Justified again today for another 8 hour trip. We pulled away from the dock at 7 am in a thick fog and took our time getting out to the DE Bay. We were going to be able to fish the last of the incoming tide into slack on this trip, and we knew there were a few better fish caught ton that tide at the C&B yesterday, so we made our way in there and setup. The current was ripping in hard when we got there and it was 47 degrees. Action was slow overall throughout the day with a few spiny dogfish chewing at our bunker chunks every now and then. It was looking pretty grim as the tide came to a halt and time was just about up when a rod double over. FISH ON! After a few line peeling runs, we landed the 37″ striper that made the trip. The fog had lifted and we headed back in.
