Today we had a 15-20 knot wind out of the SE as we made our way down the edge to start our day at Devils Point here in Cat Island. Right away we got a long rigger bite from a sailfish but it never came tight. We picked at a Mahi here and there along the wall as we worked our way down the edge to Columbus Point. We picked at some Mahi here and there but the bite was fairly slow all morning.
We managed to get a white Marlin off of a flat line bite behind the dredge and it put on a great aerial show. The afternoon we saw more white birds out on the point and got into a nice tuna that we actually were able to get 1/2 of the 40# yellowfin to the boat. Some tuna steaks are better then no tuna steaks. We continued to catch Mahi here and there until we called it a day at 330. Back at it again tomorrow.
