So we ran out on Tuesday for Day 2/3 of the tournament on Saltitude. We started just west of the west side of the Baltimore where we had a lot of bait and a cargo net floating on the surface before lines in. Once tournament time started we made our passes but it produced nothing but small dolphin. The water was green so we picked up and continued on to the SW corner of the Baltimore Canyon and found some bluer water and some flying fish popping up out of the water. We worked down towards the Poormans along the edge bouncing around from 65-100 fathoms. We managed to get bites from small dolphin scattered about throughout our day and went 2/2 on white marlin. Very slow fishing for everyone int he tournament, we were lucky to catch 2. Right now we are still holding on to 1st place dolphin with a 23 pounder, but odds of that holding are slim, but miracles do happen and of course I am hoping it holds up! We are looking to make Friday our final fishing day hoping that this slow fishing picks up.
