With the incredibly flat seas we put together a quick trip on the Trade In and headed out to the Wilmington Canyon. We started our day in the tip of the canyon and caught plenty of bailer mahi right away. We trolled our way out towards the natural 100 line up on the NE flats and ended up having a pair of white Marlin come up but we lost the one we got a hook into. The bait was scarce after that so we picked up and ran to 800 fathoms in the deep of the Wilmington but it was dead out there in the bluer water too. We slipped back into the west wall of the canyon and trolled our way in towards the India arrow hoping to get a wahoo bite but no such luck. Slow day overall, but so flat calm!
