On Dec 26 I flew into Trinidad and met up with some friends on the 40′ Cabo “Arabian Princess”. We took off the morning of the 27th and made our way up the island chain and anchored up in the Grenadines for the night. The 28th we continued on to St Lucia and arrived. We had a few minor boat issues along the way, one of which we had to straighten out this morning.
Once we got things going we spent the afternoon fishing for blue marlin but only ended up raising one small one that didn’t eat. Slow day. Marigot Bay is beautiful where we are staying for the next 4-5 days. Hopefully the fish will start biting for us!
I just uploaded my last Episode of the 2015 Season that is centered around Fall Shark Fishing in New Jersey. I hope you enjoy it, and be sure to watch in HD! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Just a heads up, I will be away on vacation surfing over the next week so no reports to come. Depending on how busy the Christmas Holiday keeps me, it’s likely my next time fishing won’t be until I am in St. Lucia fishing for Blue Marlin after Christmas. In case I don’t make it back here until afterwards, I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and tight lines to anyone who gets out fishing between now and then. Best of luck on the water and enjoy the holidays!
PS, for those of you in the Middle Atlantic Region, I sure hope you have gotten in on the amazing striper fishing that has been going on, I am sad I missed out on it this year…
Well, it has been a lot of fun here in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Such an awesome island and I will be sure to make it back! The weather didn’t really cooperate for us much on this trip for fishing but we got in a few good hours of deep dropping today and caught a mixed bag of queen snapper, silky snapper, snowy grouper, barrel fish, and tile fish. We had plenty of laughs throughout the entire trip here in Isla. The best part of fishing is about making memories and sharing adventures!
After our arrival to Isla Mujeres, Mexico last night on the 57′ East Bay, Sea Mistress, we cleared customs and immigrations this morning and got in a quick deep dropping trip in the pouring rain this afternoon to catch some dinner. Ended up with a mystic grouper and a few snapper.
