Another quick report. Been nonstop here. Action was a little slower today and it was pretty much flat calm today. We unfortunately pulled the hook on two single sailfish, then had a blue crash our right teaser of blue squidnation squids and a red/black Hawaiin Eye with a ballyhoo when we were dealing with some mahi we had on and he got the whole thing. Ouch. We did manage to get a clean release on a highly energetic and acrobatic blue marlin that are a red FishDownSea party hat with a medium ballyhoo. A few tough breaks today but still solid fishing.

Quick report again today. Well today we had 15 knot winds out of the NE again. Fishing started off slow. We did manage to pick up a dolphin but that was it. Finally we got into. Double header of sails and got the release on both around 1030 am. Again at 12:30 we got another double sails but only got the release on one. Right away we got lines back in and there he is on the DownSea Blue Party Hat. Another sailfish release. We did manage to sneak a small yellowfin tuna past the Sharks for sashimi. We ended the day with a white Marlin release that piled on the right long with the DownSea Boue Party Hat. Fun day and another daily for us on the Over Under…!
Today we had some solid winds at 20 knots out of the ENE but that is still somewhat in the Lee where we fish so it was plenty comfortable. The dolphin were biting pretty good throughout most of the day and we managed to get one at 28 lbs that right now is the heaviest of the tournament, but still two days to go and by Cat Island standards, that’s a barely above average dolphin.
We managed to go 2/2 on sailfish and 1/1 on blue marlin to put us on top for the daily Calcutta. Hopefully the fish keep biting for us. Looking forward to the next two days!
With the tournament the next three days I am kinda slammed so quick and simple report today. We caught 6 mahi, released a white Marlin and lost another. Missed a sail and pulled the hook on another sail. Slow but solid day all in all if that makes sense. All dialed in and ready for the White Marlin Smackdown Tournament!
Today we had very calm weather again and expected fishing to be slow. We did manage to sneak a wahoo into the boat on the troll but it was slowwwww fishing for everyone on the troll so we switched over to bottom fishing, and it was great fishing we all had a lot of fun and caught a box full of great eating fish.
Quick report, kinda in a hurry. We started off yesterday around 8am and it was nonstop mahi action all day as well as some action with tunas getting sharked nonstop. I guess I have been coming here long enough now since I don’t get upset anymore. We did ended up releasing two sails.
We anchored out overnight and got into some action with nice size yellowtails and some groupers. It was a beautiful and clear night and the seas and wind calmed down to nothing.
Today the action was much slower with a light wind out of the west. We still managed to catch 6 mahi and 1 white Marlin and 1 sailfish so all in all now a bad day. Most of the action today was around Devil’s Point.
