6/30 sharkin on Trade In

Today we decided to try to give it one last solid shot at line class shark fishing. There have still been a few mako sharks lurking around even though it is a bit late for the inshore shark fishing, but we had good weather and wanted to give it a shot. We ran up to an area on the 20 fathom line out of GE Inlet and went about 35 miles. The water was a blue green color and 70.8 degrees. We had some wind on the first drift and drifted at 1.2 knots for 2 hours without any success. We reset and the wind started dropping out but maintained a solid drift for almost 3 hours and nothing. We ran about 6 miles South and setup on a few lumps. The wind had completely dropped out and we still had no action. Only this we had was a Mahi swim leisurely up our slick and disappear. Beautiful sunny day on the water, but no action. We are switching gears tomorrow and going for some bluefin tomorrow…
