Well we had the SuperMoon yesterday and it was pretty amazing. I’m hoping it helped get these stripers moving. I was able to slip out for a few hours this afternoon on a friends 25′ Regulator out of Belmar, NJ. They have been on the fish the past two days and we were able to slip out and get into some action in a few short hours this evening. Wind was blowing 15 out of the West with a heavy Easterly swell. The water was 55 degrees and great water clarity. The gulls were picking pretty hard in 50′ of water and the stripers came together into a frenzy for only a few minutes rolling on the surface. We managed to catch some before they split up. We chased them around for another hour but could not get them to eat. The fish were moving hard to the South. Fun few hours of fishing though.
