We spent the morning trying to find a clean patch of water without weed that we could actually fish and managed to find it. We pounded it out and ended up tagging and releasing 3 sailfish. Wondering what the back side of this moon will bring, we need something to fire up!

We decided to go looking for wahoos today to switch it up a bit and hopefully give the weed a day to move away (fingers crossed). We ended up going 2/4 early in the day and then it shutdown without a bite all afternoon. Just couldn’t seem to buy another bite. The weed wasn’t as terrible but still made it tough fishing, especially trying to pull subsurface baits as they kept getting weeded up. Hopefully as we come into this Full Moon things will fire up again.
Well, very tough fishing for us. We went about 1000/1000 on catching weed as it was thick everywhere we went. Very tough to fish, and we couldn’t keep a dredge in the water let alone keep a bait clean. Ended 0/2 on sailfish.
Today we battled it out through the weed. Weed was definitely an issue throughout the day as it was difficult to fish in many areas.
We did pick at two sailfish and tagged and released them both mid day but otherwise it was pretty quiet. Later in the day we had a little flurry raising 5 more sails and going 2/4 on those fish. Very acrobatic sailfish today added to the excitement. Anxious to see what tomorrow shows us.
Well it’s been a lot of fun her lately. Have a great group of guys here that were down for anything and we did some exploring.
Day 1: 10/17 on wahoo in 5 hours. Cut it off, don’t wanna be greedy. Did manage a double header of 12 pound mahi as well in the mix. Top baits were wahoo belly strips on a billy baits and the Fish Downsea Wahoojo on the down rod.
Day 2: went up north to Ronde Island. Fished for a couple hours off of grenada and went 1/3 on sailfish. Had some fun Exploring and got into a couple bottom fish including a nice 10 pound mutton.
Day 3: did some bottom fishing but wasn’t what we expected. Had some fun and caught some small grouper and moved on to see some of Carriacou which was pretty amazing.
Day 4: Trolled our way back to grenada. Lots of weed and managed 1 mahi but got to grenada quickly and then had a few hours or time to try for billfish. Went 2/7 on sailfish, lots of wind and tricky bites for the boys. Everyone on the trip that never caught a sailfish has 1 now! We did have a blue marlin crash the teaser but never can back. Anxious to see what tomorrow holds!
We started back where the action was yesterday but it was obvious the same action wasn’t going to be there as it was lifeless. We mosied our way offshore and downsea and picked away at a couple sailfish until later in the day we came across a pocket of clean water and had a blue marlin crash the teaser. After some chaos and the fish doing what it wanted (not what we wanted) the fish faded to the long rigger and no connection. Slower pick going 2/5 on sailfish and 0/1 on blue marlin.
