We went back at it looking for billfish today and ran up between the Wilmington and the Spencer Canyons. The water in the morning looked green and lifeless although we did catch two small yellowfin tuna. We picked up and ran off to 700 fathoms of the Spencer and nearly right away we released a long bill spearfish. Very cool catch! The rest of the day we trolled around looking for something better, then picked up and ran again. At the end of the day we did manage to release a white marlin off of the right long party skirt ballyhoo, and that was the day.
