June 18 report – yellowfins!

We started our day at first light in Poormans Canyon along with numerous other boats. The water temp was 69degrees, green and Flat calm. Things started off slow until we got into a small school of yellowfins and picked away at single bites for an hour and a half catching 9 yellowfins, 7 of which were keepers. The hot bait today for us was the Fish Downsea 2 ounce Tuna Flare in Downsea Blue rigged with a medium ballyhoo. We tried to see if we could luck out on a swordfish but nothing to it for us… fun day and plenty of meat in the box! Looks like we will be blown out for the next 4-5 days but will be back at it strong after that.
