We started our day at 5:00am at grey light in 50 fathoms. We happened to get two lines out and wham! We were on a double header but only caught 1 of them which was a 40 pound yellowfin. After that is went entirely flat. We worked the entire canyon. For 3 hours and it just didn’t look like anything was going to happen.
At 830 we made a solid run north for about a 45 minute move where we ended up having consistent action all day on yellowfins ranging from 10-40 lbs. We even had a nice 400 pound blue pile on the flying fish teaser and we made the switch to the 80 pitch which was a Fish Downsea big Chugger and a Spanish mackerel and game on. After a while we eventually pulled the hook but what a show. Really fun day of fishing yet again!
