We lucked out with perfect flat calm weather and ran to the Baltimore Canyon. We fished from 10:30-230 in the NE corner on a 78-79 degree break with sulphur line. Blue green water. We managed to go 2/3 on white marlin in that time all flat line bites as well as a mahi. In that mix we also raised a blue marlin to the teaser that just never ate. The guys decided they wanted to try and find some tunas so we made a move to the South Poormans and got into some beautiful blue water at 330pm.
We raised a few white marlin that didn’t come tight on the tuna gear, and then did manage to hook one more for a catch, but it wasn’t until dark that we finally got our tuna bites and managed to box 3 yellowfin tuna! All night we had a fast drift and kept trying to make something happen but it just never panned out. We tried a couple hours in the morning for more tunas but no bites.
