The boat available for Charter with Captain Ricky Wheeler is Exile 65. Exile 65 is a beautiful 65′ Paul Mann Custom Sportfishing Boat. This boat was built to be a self sufficient vessel making it ideal for liveaboard trips in various locations like the Bahamas and also an amazing fishing platform for the Middle Atlantic Canyons. She has the speed to get you to the fishing grounds and the comfort to make everything about your trip enjoyable.
The list of amenities on Exile 65 are lengthy, so we will do a walkthrough of the boat. The boat has a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom layout. Exile 65 has a very large cockpit leaving plenty of space for catching fish. The mezzanine seating is an ideal spot to relax in the cockpit and watch the trolling spread while your are waiting for the bite. The large overhang keeps you in the shade as much as possible and there is even mezzanine air conditioning as well. Under the mezzanine seating there is an 800 pound per day ice machine that can crank out ice throughout the entire trip to help keep your catch on good ice until they hit the fillet table.
The bridge of Exile 65 is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating options if you want the panoramic view at some point during your trip. We also have Siruis XM Radio and a fantastic sound system on the boat if you wish to listen to music. For the situations when we are outside of Satellite Radio Range, the boat is also equipped with SONOS throughout the boat and in every stateroom so you can link up your music from your phone to the boat’s SONOS system.
As you walk into the boat, you enter the huge Salon which has a large L shaped couch to the left and a couch to the right. Directly in front is a pair of bar stools with a raised bar table. Step up into the galley where there are two sub zero refrigerators and 2 sub zero freezers as well as plenty of cabinet space. The Salon TV is a flat screen that is angled to be easily viewed from anywhere in the Salon. The Sonos sound system throughout the boat works from the TVs as well as music.
As you walk down the stairs and into the companionway, directly to your left is the first full bathroom with a head and shower. Past that and to the left is a washer and dryer. Directly across from the washer and dryer is the Master Stateroom with a Queen size bed. In the Master is the second full bathroom with a head and large shower. The Master stateroom also has it’s own TV.
Further down the companionway and to the left is the bunk room. This bunk room is much larger then your usual bunk room and comfortably sleeps 2 people. At the end of the Companionway is the VIP Room which has a Queen bed and two bunks above and outboard of the main bed so you can sleep 3 her with ease. The VIP Room has it’s own TV as well that works off of the Salon TV. Exile 65 is a beautiful boat and better yet, a fishing machine.
